Browse Faster by modifying the Windows XP Registry

Sometimes the connection speed reported by your modem does not correspond to your browsing flexibility. Or evidently it’s lower than you’d like to be. Doing a simple adjustment to the windows registry we will increase the speed of access to “http” servers on internet.

Now you can browse web pages faster with these following steps.

  1. START > “Run” > type “regedit” and press ENTER
  2. In the Registry, find the string
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\InternetSetting
  3. In the right windows create or modify the following “DWORD” values:
    a. MaxConnectionsPerServer: “Double click” on this value and write “4″ for dial up and “20″ for ADLS connection.
    b. MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server: “Double click” on this value and write “8″ for dial up and “20″ for ADLS connection.

All these values correspond to the number of simultaneous queries for access to a server. Then close regedit and restart windows to get immediate effect or wait for your next reboot.
